Oloupena Falls is the Tallest Waterfall in America at 2,953 feet high.  It is also the fourth highest waterfall in the World.

The falls are located between the Pelekunu and Wailau valleys.  They have gnawed a groove in the cliff-face and can be observed only from the ocean or air.

Sometimes the "Tallest Waterfall in America" is thought to be the waterfall "Yosemite Fall"  in California.  With it's height at 2,425 feet high, the confusion may be that this waterfall in within the main states.   However, when you take all 50 states into account, Oloupena Falls exceeds the height of any other falls in America.
